About ESARA
Electrical Safety and Reliability Association (ESARA) is formally operated by Safety and Reliability Association (SaRA) – a 501(c)(6) “business league” non-profit organization formed for the benefit of reliability, maintenance and electrical safety professionals in industrial, commercial and government organizations. Our aim is to educate and inform members on better practices for creating safe and reliable workplaces.
Weaving together the essential elements of electrical safety, reliability, sustainability, and pandemic resilience, ESARA has developed a comprehensive framework to educate members and empower them to be a transformative force as their organization strives to exceed the current and future demands of asset management.
Our Mission
ESARA brings together a wealth of expertise from across the industry, creating a unique platform for knowledge exchange. This collaborative environment ensures that best practices and innovative solutions are shared, driving continuous improvement in safety and reliability standards.
ESARA plays a crucial role in shaping and upholding industry standards, ensuring all members are aligned with the latest developments and regulatory requirements. This commitment elevates safety across industry.
The association fosters a strong network of industry leaders and professionals, which provides valuable connections and facilitates the exchange of ideas that drive the industry forward.
Our Vision
ESARA stands as a beacon of innovation and excellence in asset management, particularly during rapid industrial evolution and unforeseen global challenges.
We believe that safety and reliability are two sides of the same coin – that a reliable facility will be a safe one, and a safe facility must be a reliable one.
Our Vision is to be the world leading educational platform for safety and reliability that will help eliminate workplace injuries and deaths. This vision is supported by carefully curated content from cutting edge resources and collaboration with industry leaders. A platform where practitioners support practitioners brings clarity to safety and reliability.
In an era marked by rapid changes and uncertainties, ESARA’s role in shaping a future-proof and robust asset management approach is beneficial and essential, making its membership an invaluable asset for any organization striving for excellence in safety, reliability and asset management.
ESARA's value
ESARA’s value to its membership transcends conventional benefits – it empowers organizations to stay ahead of the curve in operational excellence, ensures readiness against disruptive challenges, and fosters a culture of sustainable and safe industry practices. This strategic positioning facilitated by ESARA’s innovative and forward-thinking approach positions its members not just as industry participants, but also as leaders and pioneers, ready to navigate the complexities of modern industry with confidence and resilience.
Our members are committed to a culture-changing endeavor. We deliver more cost-effective maintenance practices, Operations Driven Safety and Reliability (ODSR) principles and electrical system better practices.
ESARA is an important addition to the landscape of standards, and to safety and reliability organizations. Committed Alliance Partnerships with IEEE, PES, Gigre, NETA, Mobius, University of Tennessee Reliability and Maintainability Center (RMC) and University of Texas Center for Electromechanics (ECE), and additionally planned outreach to other similar non-profit organizations, underscores our dedication to be collaborative and complementary, not competitive.
