ESARA—Better Practices. For Practitioners. By Practitioners.
I value how ESARA emphasizes the connection between safety and reliability. They go hand-in-hand, and addressing both effectively is crucial for any organization. Navigating the complexities of safety and asset management can be challenging, especially with the constant changes and varying approaches in the industry. ESARA provides a clear path and practical solutions, empowering everyone to play a key role in enhancing reliability and safety. It’s been rewarding to work with other practitioners who are genuinely focused on making a meaningful impact and improving practices across the board.

Having worked in floor level reliability across plants and with all management levels, finding peers who offer honest feedback rather than sales talk is invaluable. The journey can be daunting and often diverges from theoretical reliability.
Many companies experience cycles of “flavor of the month” processes and navigating out of that is crucial.
Learning from those who have genuinely moved toward change is both exhilarating and confidence-boosting.

The most important values of ESARA are found in the words of the acronym it supports:
Electrical Safety is the most important thing, and everyone talks about it. But all too often the talk is not followed through with action and people still get hurt or worse on the job. SaRA makes safety in asset management a priority and promises to provide actionable ideas that anyone can implement.
Reliability – Many will agree that reliability cannot happen without safety. But if we can move past safety, then we can put focus on the technologies and training required to advance better practices for reliability for our most critical asset classes.
Association – For me the word aligns itself to Community and that is what we are trying to build.
A community of practitioners for professionals in a playground where anyone can participate regardless of budget.
